Gorilla
Enjoy the antics of two orphaned baby gorillas as they journey through their first year of life.
Set in the rainforests of Cameroon, Mefou National Park is a refuge for orphaned and injured primates. Within this sanctuary a team of dedicated men and women have become surrogate mothers and fathers to a group of infant gorillas.
Meet director of Mefou, Rachel Hogan. Rachel and her team care for a group of gorillas that range in age from nine years to just a few weeks old. Like humans, each gorilla has a distinct personality and each must be handled in their own special way.
Rachel’s day to day routine is totally disrupted when the call comes in that another orphaned baby has been found at an illegal hunting camp. Once again Rachel must take on the 24/7 duties as a surrogate gorilla mother. Less than two months later an orphaned male gorilla arrives at the park, and the two babies end up growing up together.
