Northland farmers struggling in dry conditions

Northland Federated Farmers president and sheep farmer John Blackwell is calling on the government to declare a drought in his region.

 

There’s been little or no rain over the past few months, leading to low water supplies and animal feed.

 

Even Aucklanders are being told to have shorter showers as hot weather has seen water usage skyrocket to record levels.
