May Boeve: ‘The world is changing in front of us’

The Climate Change Adaptation Technical Working Group’s stocktake report, released on Friday, said the country lacks a “nationally co-ordinated plan” to adapt to climate change and that means hundreds of billions of dollars of property and infrastructure is at risk. May Boeve knows the issues better than most – she’s a co-founder and executive director of 350.org, a grassroots global climate movement she co-founded in 2008 with author and environmentalist Bill McKibben. Its focus is getting the world’s biggest institutions to divest from companies directly involved in the fossil fuel industry.
