Hundreds turn out to honour Dunedin flat party crush victim

An act of public unity is helping Otago University students, staff and wider community mourn the death of Sophia Crestani. About 2500 people took to the streets of North Dunedin yesterday to clean up the student quarter. The 19-year-old second-year Otago University student was fatally injured when hundreds left a crowded flat party on October the 5th. The street cleanup in her honour was a request from her parents. Our Otago-Southland reporter Timothy Brown went along and filed this report.
