The best soils for New Zealand’s wines are also some of the most shaky as Canterbury and Marlborough wine makers found out to their cost last November. Now the government’s pouring $300,000 of funding into research to look at how the wine industry can better prepare for a similar disaster. RNZ’s Maja Burry went to Greystone Vineyard to find out what the industry thinks of the move.
