Greenpeace protestors unmoved on Timaru oil drilling vessel

Greenpeace protestors are still holding up a oil drilling vessel in Timaru and have no plans for leaving.

They arrived early yesterday morning to stop the vessel, owned by OMV, from leaving the city’s port.

Eight protestors were arrested today, but 10 still remain.

Siana Fitzjohn is one of the protestors swinging on the mooring lines.

She spoke to Checkpoint reporter Logan Church at Timaru Port.
