France heatwave: Paris faces 40-degree highs

France is bracing for a heatwave with temperatures forecast to exceed 40 degrees this week – potentially breaking the record for June. Comparisons are being drawn to a heat wave in 2003, when almost 15,000 people in France died. Now, the north of the country – including Paris – is predicted to be the worst affected.
