Environment Minister discusses fast-tracked projects

The government is fast-tracking major infrastructure projects, cutting out a large part of the public consultation process to speed up economic growth in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis. The 11 projects are listed in the new Covid-19 Recovery Bill, which will be printed tomorrow, with a copy given to the National Party to consider before deciding whether to support it. While Labour and New Zealand First back the fast-tracking, the Green Party is only supporting it to the first reading at this stage and hope to see changes around what they say is the blocking of iwi and environmental voices. Minister for the Environment, David Parker talks to Lisa Owen.
