Crocodiles taking over Queensland beaches

A local councillor in Cairns says it’s only a matter of time before Queensland’s growing crocodile population leads to tragedy. Croc sightings are becoming more frequent in popular swimming spots. In one case at the weekend, a two-metre crocodile lazed on a Cairns beach as people posed for photos, seemingly oblivious to the danger. Brett Olds is a Cairns regional councillor – he says the problem is getting out of hand.
