Callaghan funding favours business over research – scientists

Prominent New Zealand scientists are warning the government research funding agency Callaghan Innovation isn’t working. The agency, named in memory of Sir Paul Callaghan, was created to strengthen the ties between the science and the business community through grants. But as Charlie Dreaver explains, scientists believe the focus and money has favoured business, rather than the research.
