Attempt is being made to revive Ruataniwha dam project

A group of Central Hawke’s Bay business leaders are hoping to resurrect the controversial Ruataniwha dam scheme in some shape or form. That’s after they bought the assets and intellectual property for the ill-fated water storage scheme from the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council for $100,000. Farmers are excited by the prospect but Forest and Bird is sceptical they’ll be able to get it across the line. RNZ Hawke’s Bay reporter Anusha Bradley has the details.
